Employment Enterprises, Inc. is currently working with one of the world’s largest scientific organizations that is a leader in providing academic and career resources, industry news, and scientific publications. We are searching for an Accountant. You will be responsible for formulating solutions to unusual and complex accounting issues/problems along with other duties.

Accountant Responsibilities:

  • Prepare complex analyses, work papers, and non-standard reports and projects within established deadlines that are accurate, complete, well written, easy to review and understand.
  • Perform research as assigned, tracing issues to their source. Effectively summarizes and communicates research findings to Manager and assists with implementing solutions.
  • Formulate, develop, and manage accounting and financial management policies.
  • Assist with the implementation of new business, accounting, and financial reporting processes as well as new GAAP pronouncements
  • Assist with the preparation of the Society's monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and footnotes in accordance with GAAP,
  • Assist in providing support to external independent auditors during the annual financial statement audit.
  • Assist with documentation of a variety of accounting policies and processes, methods, and practices.
  • This individual is a member of a team and reports to the Technical Accounting Manager or designated task/project lead on the team.


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related: CPA license is a plus
  • Minimum Ten (10) years of experience in an accounting role (emphasis on GAAP financial reporting )
  • Understanding of GAAP and how it affects a company’s transactions
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and experience with large ERP systems, ideally PeopleSoft financials
  • Experience in participating in year-end financial audits
  • Integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
