Employment Enterprises, Inc. is currently working with a leading provider of fully integrated commercial real estate services. We are seeking a Commercial Property Accountant to prepare monthly reporting packages and handle lease administration duties for a diversified portfolio of properties. You’ll be responsible for day-to-day accounting and lease administration operations of the company’s portfolio of properties, including interaction with local government and property owners, tenants and vendors, budgeting, reports provided to building owners and tenants.
Commercial Property Accountant Responsibilities

  • Manage Client accounting responsibilities
  • Lease document /collection/administration
  • Monitor all property management expenses
  • Rent roll preparation and review/Tenant Invoicing
  • Assist in annual budget preparation and implementation
  • Assist in annual operating expense, CAM, and RE Tax Reconciliations
  • Experience with audits
  • AP/AR
  • Updates cash journals with daily activity and completes monthly bank reconciliations
  • Monthly Bank Reconciliations
  • Monthly financial preparation
  • Prepare ad hoc reports and generate queries of accounting and collections information
  • Variance analysis
  • Perform year-end adjusting journal entries as required
Commercial Property Accountant Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree in a related field
  • 3+ years of commercial property accounting experience
  • 3+ years of real estate or property management industry experience required
  • Experience with Real Estate is preferred
  • Hands-on experience in a small office environment
  • NEXUS, MRI, YARDI, Sage 300/Timberline, Excel, Quickbooks a Plus
