Employment Enterprises is currently working with a client that provides local and commuter bus services across the community and along the I-95 and I-66 corridors. We are searching for a Contract Specialist to Performs intermediate skilled administrative support of procurement and contract activities. This position reports to the Manager of Grants and Procurement. Contract Specialist Responsibilities:
Maintain procurement contract logs and filing system.
Work with project managers to administer active contracts.
Monitors contractor compliance with requirements such as insurance and prompt payment.
Assist with procurements for construction, professional and general services RFQ, RFP, and Invitation to Bid processes.
Scheduling and assembling bid documents.
Pre-bid meetings and bid openings.
Preparation of contracts and contract amendments.
Assist with Small Purchase Process Communicate policies, procedures, instructions, contract requirements, and applicable laws.
Assist facilities department with procurement related activities and other administrative tasks
Contract Specialist Qualifications:
Combination of education and experience equivalent to a bachelor’s degree in business, public administration, transportation planning, urban planning, or related field.
Valid driver's license in the Commonwealth of Virginia.
General and technical knowledge of clerical and administrative duties in an office setting.
General knowledge of the principles, methods, techniques and terminology of procurement and contract management.
Skill in the use of personal computers, associated software packages, hardware, and peripheral equipment.
Skill in technical writing, planning, and organization.
Skill in budget planning, development.
Ability to work independently, understand and follow oral and written directions.
Ability to follow work procedures.
Ability to perform mathematical computations with speed and accuracy.
Ability to accurately organize and maintain paper documents and electronic files.
Manage and meet deadlines.
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates, customers, department directors and management, other departments, outside agencies, vendors, and the public.
Hourly pay range $29.00-$32.00. What we offer:
