Employment Enterprises, Inc. is supporting a non-profit fire department based in Woodbridge, VA is seeking a Purchasing Liaison. The position is onsite and offers an hourly pay rate of $21.50. The role requires working closely with department budget holders, vendors, and contractors to manage procurement activities. The position is part-time and is ideal for individuals with experience in purchasing, inventory management, or government procurement, seeking to contribute to a community-focused organization.
Purchasing Liaison Responsibilities:
Manage purchasing activities for the department, including processing purchase orders and tracking deliveries.
Coordinate and manage procurement contracts and vendor agreements.
Oversee supplies and inventory for department facilities to ensure adequate stock levels.
Communicate effectively with vendors, department staff, and contracting officials.
Maintain accurate records of procurement transactions and inventory.
Assist with light lifting and logistical support as needed.
Perform other related duties as assigned, supporting department operations and procurement needs.
Purchasing Liaison Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office applications.
Strong research skills to identify products and services.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience in procurement or inventory management is preferred.
Knowledge of procurement systems or government procurement processes is a plus.
Experience within the fire and rescue service industry is advantageous.
Satisfactory completion of a criminal background check and fingerprinting.
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record.
