Employment Enterprises Inc. is supporting one of the leading providers of transportation services in the DC Metropolitan area. We are searching for a Accounts Payable Accountant in a hybrid work environment in Alexandria, VA. The position offers a pay rate of $42.09 per hour. The role requires a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience, with responsibilities including invoice reconciliation, vendor data validation, and accounts payable support.
Accounts Payable Accountant Responsibilities:
Reconcile invoices and ensure accurate processing in the invoice control system
Review and approve invoice control groups efficiently and accurately
Research and validate vendor master data, including Tax Identification Numbers (TIN)
Correspond with vendors to obtain missing or updated vendor information as necessary
Document the end-to-end invoice processing workflow, including OCR clearance
Perform data entry for invoice corrections or adjustments when needed
Support various accounts payable functions to meet organizational needs
Minimum of 4 years of experience in accounting or finance roles; relevant experience preferred over educational background
Experience with invoice reconciliation, vendor data management, and accounts payable processes
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Excellent communication skills for vendor correspondence
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Proficiency with data entry and OCR systems
