Our client is a major transportation agency responsible for connecting communities and supporting mobility across the DC region. The EEO Specialist will assist the Office of Equal Employment Opportunity and Employee Relations (OEEO) in its federally mandated responsibilities of investigating complaints of discrimination and providing training and counseling to agency employees. This is a full-time, contract position based in Hyattsville, MD, paying $56.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Conduct investigations into complaints of discrimination involving agency employees
• Develop and deliver EEO and other related training sessions
• Provide counseling and guidance to employees regarding EEO rights and responsibilities
• Prepare investigative reports and recommendations for corrective actions
• Maintain confidential records and manage sensitive information
• Collaborate with Human Capital and other departments to ensure compliance with federal statutes and agency policies
• Assist with compliance surveys, data analysis, and presentations for internal and external reviews

Qualifications

• Required: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Human Resources, Public Administration, or related field
• Preferred: Experience working in federal agency EEO or compliance roles
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in PeopleSoft, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), and Outlook
