Employment Enterprises Inc. is supporting one of the leading providers of transportation services in the DC Metropolitan area. We are searching for a recruiter who can guide hiring managers through the recruitment process, craft effective job postings, and bring experience in talent acquisition or human resources to support strategic hiring. This role will support the rail operations division, working closely with leadership and managing full life cycle recruitment for high-volume roles. You will be onsite in Hyattsville, Maryland and the position pays $35 per hour.
Recruiter Responsibilities:
Consults and advises hiring managers on the overall hiring process
Collaborates on job requisition details and creation
Advises on effective candidate assessment and interview techniques
Reviews job descriptions to ensure proper advertisement format for internet job postings and target niche websites
Manages full life cycle recruitment processes for rail operation positions
Coordinates hiring for station managers and train operators, filling approximately 20–30 positions annually
Screens and interviews candidates, ensuring alignment with job requirements and company culture
Collaborates with hiring managers and peers to understand recruitment needs and develop effective sourcing strategies
Maintains candidate pipelines and manages relationships with potential candidates for future opportunities
Utilizes organizational skills to track and prioritize recruitment tasks, ensuring timely completion
Communicates effectively with candidates, providing updates on their application status and next steps
Adapts recruitment strategies based on feedback and changing hiring needs
Utilizes project management skills to coordinate multiple recruitment projects and meet hiring goals
Stays updated on industry trends and best practices in recruitment to enhance the hiring process
Recruiter Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED
Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or Behavioral Science
One or more years of talent acquisition or human resources experience preferred
Experience in rail or bus operations recruitment strongly preferred
Prior experience recruiting for internships is a plus
Strong organizational and project management skills
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with candidates and hiring managers
