Employment Enterprises, Inc is supporting a government entity that supplies a variety of funds for services and programs in our local area. We are searching for an Administrative Assistant. The position involves 15-20 hours per week, with the possibility of remote work, located in Arlington, VA. The hourly pay rate is $21.00.
Administrative Assistant Responsibilities:
Perform clerical and administrative duties to support daily office operations.
Manage data entry, filing, and record-keeping systems.
Prepare reports, correspondence, and charts; edit and proofread documents.
Assist in maintaining calendars, arrange meetings, and coordinate staff schedules.
Support recruitment activities, including new hire orientation and employee records management.
Handle incoming phone calls, provide program information, and address inquiries or complaints.
Receive visitors, refer them to appropriate personnel, and assist with client or applicant inquiries.
Monitor and reorder office supplies; sort and distribute mail.
Prepare vendor invoices and payment vouchers; maintain organizational data files.
Aid in inputting timesheets for payroll and tracking employee documentation.
Administrative Assistant Qualifications:
High school diploma, GED, or equivalent; college coursework may substitute experience.
Some preferred experience of providing administrative support.
Working knowledge of office procedures, word processing, and record management.
Strong written and reading comprehension skills.
Good interpersonal skills for complaint resolution and liaison activities.
Basic arithmetic skills; problem-solving ability for routine issues.
Proficiency with computer applications and office equipment.
Licenses or certifications may be required based on specific assignments.
