Our client is a major financial enterprise dedicated to supporting housing markets and promoting sustainable homeownership nationwide. We are seeking a Contract Specialist who will be accountable for the end-to-end sourcing and contracting process related to all suppliers providing goods and/or services within our Data and Information Services Category. This is a full-time, contract position based in McLean, VA, paying $40-45.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Manage approximately 30 contracts with varying timelines
- Provide strong customer support to stakeholders
- Proactively manage project timelines
- Utilize category expertise to support the specific category
- Communicate effectively with stakeholders and team members
- Participate in interview processes for candidate selection
- Address any struggles or challenges encountered in the role
- Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth contract management
- Maintain a heavy workload in a demanding environment
- Assist in the renewal cycle planning and execution
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Data and Information Services, Contract Negotiation, or similar fields
- 5+ years of professional experience with contract management systems and negotiation
- Proven ability to manage a high volume of contracts and support stakeholder needs
- Strong communication, analytical, and decision-making skills
- Experience with vendor management and contract lifecycle management
- Knowledge of procurement, category management, and strategic sourcing methodologies
