Our client is a leading property management company dedicated to providing exceptional residential experiences. The Property Manager will oversee daily property operations, ensuring resident satisfaction, maintaining property standards, and leading on-site teams to meet organizational goals. This is a Full-time, Direct Hire position based in Alexandria, Virginia, paying $77,000-$85,000 annually.
Responsibilities
- Ensure all staff responsibilities are completed professionally and in compliance with company policies and applicable laws
- Recruit, interview, and hire administrative, leasing, and maintenance personnel
- Provide performance feedback and conduct annual reviews for team members
- Prepare and manage staff schedules considering leave requests and reporting deadlines
- Conduct daily property inspections to maintain standards of curb appeal and property condition
- Oversee day-to-day operations including resident relations, rent collection, delinquency management, and property marketing
- Manage resident retention efforts through timely communication, community events, and addressing concerns
- Handle resident complaints and serve as liaison between residents and the corporate office
- Prepare and submit various reports such as daily activity, market surveys, budget assessments, and compliance documentation
- Assist with budget development, expense management, and purchase order processing
- Ensure safety protocols, emergency plans, and risk management policies are in place and followed
- Support leasing functions and contribute to property revenue maximization
- Perform other duties as assigned to support property operations
Qualifications
- High school diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred
- Minimum of five years of experience in property management, with at least two years in a supervisory role
- Familiarity with resident rental lifecycle activities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and property management software (e.g., Yardi Voyager) preferred
- Excellent customer service, leadership, and communication skills
- Ability to operate standard office and maintenance equipment
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and auto insurance required
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds, walk several miles daily, and work under minimal supervision
