Our client is a highly experienced commercial contracting delivering top-tier quality, service, and customer satisfaction across the Carolinas and Virginia. The Project Engineer will support the successful execution of commercial, industrial, retail, and public sector projects by coordinating activities, ensuring safety compliance, and managing project documentation. This is a Full-time, Direct Hire position based in Charlotte, NC, paying $80,000-$95,000 per year. 

Responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate project activities to meet time and budget constraints
• Ensure project safety compliance with OSHA standards—safety is the team’s top priority
• Obtain and process submittals from subcontractors and suppliers, including samples, product data, shop drawings, and engineering-stamped documents
• Assist with trade coordination and maintain clear communication with subcontractors, architects, and engineers
• Document conflicts or information gaps through RFIs (Requests for Information)
• Utilize Procore for document control and maintain proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Architecture, Engineering, or related field; or 2–3 years of equivalent experience
• Strong understanding of construction processes and documentation
• Excellent organizational and communication skills
• Proficiency in project management software and Microsoft Office Suite
• Industry experience with commercial, industrial, retail, or public sector projects preferred
