Our client is a nonprofit organization dedicated to impactful community service. The Workday System Administrator will be responsible for managing and optimizing the organization's Workday Adaptive Planning platform, ensuring system configuration, maintenance, and support to meet the needs of finance and business teams. This is a full-time, remote, contract position, paying $52.00–$62.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary system administrator for Workday Adaptive Planning, ensuring platform configuration supports business needs and maintains overall system integrity.
- Manage user access, security profiles, roles, and privileges; regularly audit access for compliance.
- Design, build, and maintain planning models, including dimensions, organizational structures, and reporting sheets.
- Oversee data imports, exports, validation rules, and quality checks to ensure data accuracy.
- Monitor system performance, perform routine maintenance, backups, updates, and patches.
- Document system configurations and follow change management protocols.
- Collaborate with finance, IT, and other stakeholders to align system setup with business requirements.
- Provide technical support and training to end-users; troubleshoot system issues.
- Develop and deliver training materials for new users.
- Maintain integrations with ERP and HR systems, automate data processes, and support system upgrades.
- Identify process improvement opportunities, design enhancements, and implement best practices.
- Monitor system performance metrics and gather user feedback for continuous improvement.
- Support change management initiatives and communicate updates effectively.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience with Workday Adaptive Planning or similar EPM tools.
- Strong understanding of FP&A, financial modeling, and data integration tools.
- Experience with scripting languages like SQL or Python.
- Familiar with ERP systems such as NetSuite or Workday Financials.
- Knowledge of agile project management methodologies.
- Excellent problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Preferred Skills
- Workday Adaptive Planning certification.
- Experience with dashboarding and data visualization tools.
- Project management experience in system implementation or upgrades.
- Familiarity with customer ticketing systems.
