Our client is a global organization dedicated to hands-on economic education for young people. The Production Visual Designer will support the design and production of curriculum and learning experiences, focusing on print layouts and digital assets. This is a remote, part-time, contract position requiring availability during Eastern Time zone hours, offering $35-$40 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Create and update print layouts in Adobe InDesign using established templates and style guides
- Produce digital layouts and assets for PowerPoint, Word, and other formats
- Prepare files for print production, ensuring accuracy in formatting, color, and specifications
- Adapt visual designs across multiple mediums while maintaining brand consistency
- Create visual assets, icons, or illustrations as needed
- Conduct thorough quality assurance to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Ensure materials meet accessibility standards (WCAG 2.1 AA), including color contrast, alt text, and reading order
- Communicate effectively about timelines, requirements, and design considerations
- Organize and maintain design files, assets, and version control
Qualifications
- Required: 3+ years of experience in graphic, production, or layout design
- Required: Strong proficiency in Adobe InDesign, Figma, Illustrator, PowerPoint, and Photoshop
- Required: Experience working within structured templates and style guides
- Required: Understanding of accessibility principles for print and digital materials
- Preferred: Experience with Articulate Storyline or other e-learning authoring tools
- Preferred: Experience in educational publishing or curriculum design
- Technical skills or certifications: proficiency in Adobe suite and accessibility standards
