Our client is a family-owned glass company that provides commercial and residential glass services, specializing in design consultation and quality installation. The company offers retail glass products, storm window repair, and custom shower and bath enclosures, backed by decades of expertise and skilled craftsmanship. The Project Manager will oversee all phases of glazing projects, coordinate with clients and contractors, manage budgets and schedules, and provide estimating and administrative support. This is an onsite, full-time direct hire position based in Manassas, VA, with a targeted salary range of $80,000 to $95,000 per year.
Responsibilities
- Oversee all phases of glazing projects, from planning to closeout, ensuring timely and cost-effective delivery while maintaining high customer satisfaction.
- Develop and manage project schedules, ensuring they align with client expectations and internal capacity.
- Coordinate with contractors, architects, engineers, and suppliers to ensure compliance with contracts, design intent, specifications, and building codes.
- Manage material procurement, ordering materials, verifying site requirements, and coordinating delivery.
- Monitor project budgets, costs, and financial performance to ensure profitability and adherence to budgets.
- Manage subcontractor and supplier relationships to ensure project success.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, balancing priorities and resources efficiently.
- Identify and mitigate risks to prevent delays and ensure smooth project execution.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, ensuring transparent communication, addressing concerns, and building long-term relationships.
- Conduct post-project reviews to analyze successes, challenges, and lessons learned.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years of project management experience within the construction industry, preferably in glass and glazing contracting or manufacturing.
- Strong understanding of glass and glazing systems, including curtain walls, storefronts, windows, and custom glass installations.
- Proficiency in project management software such as MS Project, Procore, or similar tools.
- Ability to interpret construction documents, architectural plans, and specifications.
- Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Self-starter with a problem-solving mindset and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, Engineering, or related field (preferred).
- PMP certification or equivalent (preferred).
- Familiarity with local building codes and industry standards for glazing (preferred).
