Our client is a nonprofit organization that provides housing, medical respite care, and support services to help individuals experiencing homelessness achieve stability and independence. The Outreach Program Monitor will support community engagement and assist clients experiencing homelessness in Arlington.
This is a full-time, contract position based in Arlington, VA, paying $20.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Actively seek out and engage homeless individuals throughout Arlington County, offering emergency assistance and support services.
- Build trust and rapport with clients through compassionate interaction and provision of services such as food, clothing, and hygiene vouchers.
- Participate in outreach activities and street homeless calls to connect clients with resources.
- Manage program operations, including overseeing client intake, developing community programming, and maintaining logs.
- Ensure safety protocols, including conducting facility inspections and emergency preparedness duties.
- Collaborate with community partners to coordinate housing and support services for clients.
- Maintain confidentiality of client information and adhere to safety policies.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma required; human services experience preferred.
- Experience working with homeless populations and in multicultural settings is advantageous.
- Patience, persistence, and a concern for client welfare are essential.
- Valid driver’s license and car insurance required.
- Excellent communication and record-keeping skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
