Our client is a global leader in specialized MEP engineering and secure environment solutions, delivering decades of expertise to critical government and commercial projects. The Senior Electrical Engineer is a full-time, direct hire opportunity based in Chantilly, VA, with a salary range of $100,000 to $170,000.
Responsibilities:
- Act as the primary point of contact for electrical-related project issues
- Complete projects from start to finish without direction
- Conduct surveys of existing conditions
- Write technical reports
- Perform calculations, select equipment, and design systems such as lighting, power, fire alarm, security, and telecom/data systems
- Prepare project specifications
- Respond to Requests for Information during bidding and construction
- Review construction submittals
- Conduct and document final inspections
- Generate as-built drawings
- Ensure all project work is completed on schedule and within budget
- Perform quality control reviews on all assigned projects as directed by the Department Head
Qualifications:
- Required: U.S. Citizenship, BS in Electrical Engineering from an ABET accredited university, proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, AGI32, SKM, Registered Professional Engineer (P.E.), 10+ years of relevant experience in electrical design
- Preferred: Active DoD Secret security clearance, Construction Document Technologists (CDT) certification, LEED Accredited Professional, RCDD certification, technical knowledge of various electrical systems
