Our client is a major transportation agency responsible for connecting communities and supporting mobility across the DC region. The Accounts Payable Reconciliation Analyst will verify the company's internal records of money owed to vendors and ensure accuracy through detailed reconciliation processes.

This is a full-time, contract position based in Alexandria, VA, paying $42.09 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Verify internal records of money owed to vendors by comparing invoices, purchase orders, and payment records
• Identify discrepancies to prevent errors and avoid duplicate payments
• Manipulate data points and work with advanced Excel functions to ensure data accuracy
• Conduct deep dives into discrepancies, utilizing strong research and analytical skills
• Communicate effectively with clients and internal stakeholders regarding financial reconciliation issues

Qualifications

• Proven experience with monthly accounts payable reconciliation processes
• Strong proficiency in Excel, including data manipulation and date Functions
• Excellent research, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate clearly with internal and external stakeholders
• Accounting or finance certification is a plus
