Our client is a major transportation agency responsible for connecting communities and supporting mobility across the DC region. The Community Engagement Specialist will focus on engaging with customers to register them for reduced fare programs and maintaining data accuracy and confidentiality.

This is a part-time position based in Hyattsville, MD, paying $18.00 per hour. It offers flexible hours with variable weekly engagement opportunities and requires working at various events throughout the DC, MD, and Northern VA regions, which could be indoors or outdoors.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to register them for reduced fare programs
• Accurately input data into company systems to ensure customer information is correctly recorded and maintained
• Respond to customer inquiries professionally and promptly
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining data integrity and confidentiality
• Proof work for accuracy before submission
• Work at various events and locations throughout the region, including indoors and outdoors

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work in a dynamic environment with variable hours
• Strong attention to detail for data entry and proofing
• Ability to work outdoors and at different locations as needed
• Experience in community outreach or customer service preferred
• Technical skills: proficiency in data entry and basic computer applications
