Our client is a government agency serving one of the largest and fastest-growing constituencies in Northern Virginia, focused on enhancing quality of life for residents. The Application Technician will support our community by maintaining and improving technology solutions that streamline operations and enhance service delivery.
This is a hybrid position based in Dale City, Virginia, paying $30.00 to $40.00 per hour. This is a Full-time, contract position.
Responsibilities
- Assess and document existing processes and workflows to identify automation opportunities and inefficiencies.
- Lead and coordinate requirements gathering sessions with key stakeholders across the department to understand needs and define solution specifications.
- Design, build, and deploy low-code/no-code solutions to automate workflows, manage data, and integrate systems.
- Provide ongoing support for deployed solutions, including troubleshooting issues and optimizing system performance.
- Collaborate with IT and other departments to ensure solutions are scalable, secure, and aligned with organizational goals.
- Conduct training sessions for department staff and volunteers to ensure effective adoption and utilization of new systems.
- Maintain documentation for processes, system architecture, and solution designs.
Qualifications
- Low-Code/No-Code Development Expertise: Experience with platforms such as Microsoft PowerApps, OutSystems, Mendix, or similar tools. Ability to design and develop solutions without extensive coding knowledge.
- Business Process Analysis & Improvement: Strong understanding of business process mapping, workflow analysis, and the ability to identify inefficiencies and automation opportunities within organizational operations.
- Communication & Leadership: Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to facilitate meetings, gather requirements from a diverse group, and present solutions in a clear, concise manner. Ability to lead a project from concept to deployment, including stakeholder management and user training.
- Preferred qualifications include experience working in municipal or government environments and relevant technical certifications.
