Our client is a major transportation agency responsible for connecting communities and supporting mobility across the DC region. The Drug & Alcohol Compliance Support Technician plays a vital role in ensuring the integrity of drug and alcohol testing procedures and managing administrative and clinical tasks to maintain compliance and safety.
This is a full-time position based in Hyattsville, MD, paying $29.92 per hour. This is a contract position.
Responsibilities
- Assist in managing administrative work related to drug and alcohol collection
- Ensure accuracy in data entry and identify and address gaps or errors in collection processes
- Prepare applicants and employees for medical testing procedures including venipuncture, hearing and vision tests, pulmonary function tests, EKGs, X-ray, and stress tests
- Perform regulatory drug and alcohol testing procedures in accordance with DOT and WMATA regulations
- Check testing equipment for cleanliness and readiness; maintain necessary supplies
- Ensure collection areas are stocked and sanitized prior to procedures
- Maintain minimal Level D BAT (Breath Alcohol Testing) certification
Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a hospital/medical setting or an equivalent combination of post-secondary education in allied health sciences and five (5) years of experience as a medical technician
- Certified status with a minimal Level D BAT certification
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Strong organizational skills and experience in administrative and clinical tasks
- Ability to multitask and pivot quickly in a regulated environment
