Our client is a trusted utility and energy provider delivering safe, reliable, and sustainable solutions to homes and businesses. The Field Operations Support role provides administrative and operational support to field crews, assisting with tracking work, maintaining records, and supporting daily field activities to ensure proper documentation and completion.

This is a hybrid position based in Springfield, VA, paying $24.00 per hour. It is a full-time, contract position with an initial two-week onsite training period (Tuesday-Thursday) in Springfield and Chillum, MD, followed by a hybrid schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assemble job packages for field work, including printing service records and maps.
  • Enter, update, and track maintenance and work requests in company systems.
  • Assist with permit requests and Miss Utility locate ticket documentation.
  • Track field work and orders to ensure accurate documentation and completion.
  • Maintain logs, rosters, spreadsheets, and other tracking tools related to field operations.
  • Scan, copy, file, and organize documents.
  • Communicate with internal teams and external customers as needed.
  • Perform general clerical duties to support field operations.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of proven administrative experience.
  • Experience with data entry and maintaining spreadsheets in Excel.
  • Utilities or relevant industry background preferred but not required.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to commute for training days in Springfield and Chillum, MD.
