Our client is a major financial enterprise dedicated to supporting housing markets and promoting sustainable homeownership nationwide. The Finance Analyst role involves processing payments, managing accounts payable functions, and ensuring accurate financial reporting with a focus on data quality and financial analysis.
This is a Full-time, contract position based in McLean, VA, paying $27.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Create and process payment invoices in Workday, ensuring accuracy and compliance with financial policies
- Manage accounts payable functions, including review of supporting documentation and validation of transactions
- Support month-end close activities and financial reporting, adhering to GAAP standards
- Maintain vendor and master data records with attention to detail and data integrity
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to resolve discrepancies and ensure timely payments
- Use Excel extensively for data entry, analysis, and reporting
Qualifications
- Required: 2+ years’ experience in financial analysis, accounts payable, or related functions in financial services
- Preferred: Experience with Freddie Mac and Workday systems
- Required: College degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- Technical skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; detail-oriented and able to multitask
- Certifications or additional technical skills related to finance are a plus
