Our client is a trusted utility and energy provider delivering safe, reliable, and sustainable solutions to homes and businesses. This role involves supporting the redesign, organization, and governance of SharePoint Online sites used by various project teams, ensuring site structure, workflows, permissions, and user experience are optimized for compliance and maintainability.
This is a hybrid position based in Springfield, VA, paying $40.00-$60.00 per hour. This is a full-time, contract position.
Responsibilities
- Assess current SharePoint sites, libraries, permissions, and content organization.
- Develop and implement improved site architecture, navigation, and taxonomy.
- Create and configure document libraries, metadata, views, and retention settings.
- Build or refine workflows, forms, and automation using Power Automate.
- Establish governance standards for site ownership, permissions, and content lifecycle.
- Migrate and reorganize existing content with minimal disruption to users.
- Provide light training, job aids, and handoff documentation for site owners and end users.
- Coordinate with IT, Cybersecurity, and business stakeholders as needed.
- Ensure all work aligns with internal compliance, security, and records-management requirements.
Qualifications
- Required qualification: Bachelor’s degree preferred; SharePoint Online experience required.
- Preferred qualification: Microsoft 365/SharePoint certifications.
- Technical skills: Microsoft 365 (Teams, OneDrive), Power Automate, Power Apps (nice to have), basic understanding of governance/records management.
