Our client is a prominent institution for higher education known for its commitment to global research, innovation, and academic excellence. The job involves supporting live, virtual, and hybrid events in Arlington, VA. Contractors will support various event environments and need to be experienced in AV and event technology, capable of working independently, troubleshooting live issues, and supporting high-profile events.

This is a full-time, contract position in Arlington, VA, paying an hourly rate of $24 per hour. 

Responsibilities

• Support live, hybrid, and virtual events
• Set up, test, and troubleshoot microphones, audio feeds, recording, streaming, cameras, and control boards
• Operate Crestron room systems
• Support Zoom, Teams, YouTube streaming workflows
• Assist with room setup and teardown as needed
• Occasionally move furniture and staging equipment

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of hands-on AV or live event technology experience
• Experience with camera control boards, streaming platforms, recording, and microphone setup
• Ability to troubleshoot real-time AV issues
• Strong communication and professional presence
• Flexibility to work on evenings and weekends as needed
• Experience supporting university, conference, or corporate event environments is preferred
• Familiarity with Cvent and event platforms is a plus
