Our client is a major transportation agency responsible for connecting communities and supporting mobility across the DC region. The Community Engagement Specialist will be responsible for heavily engaging with customers to register them for reduced fare programs and ensuring accurate data entry into company systems. This is a part-time position paying $18.00 per hour, based in Hyattsville, MD. This is a contract position with variable hours each week dedicated to customer engagement. This role requires working at various assigned events and locations throughout the DC, Maryland, and Northern Virginia regions, which could be indoors or outdoors depending on the event's nature and requirements. The position is 100% Metro accessible and conveniently located for easy access.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to register them for reduced fare programs
• Input customer data accurately into company systems
• Respond professionally to customer inquiries
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining data integrity and confidentiality
• Proof work for accuracy
• Work at various events and locations within the region, outdoors or indoors as needed

Qualifications

• Strong customer service skills
• Ability to work at multiple locations and events
• Attention to detail for data entry and verification
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience with data management systems preferred
• Valid certification in customer service or related area (preferred)
