Our client is a leading nonprofit organization in the scientific community, recognized globally for advancing the hard sciences and publishing leading scientific journals. The Registration Specialist will oversee the planning, administration, and execution of registration operations for large-scale scientific meetings and events, ensuring a seamless and customer-focused experience for thousands of attendees. This is a full-time contract position in Washington, DC, paying $23 to $26 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end configuration, testing, and deployment of registration platforms for various meetings and events
- Establish and oversee registration timelines, milestones, and workflows in collaboration with internal stakeholders, vendors, and event teams
- Ensure data integrity and system integration, troubleshooting issues and producing reports to support operational decisions
- Maintain high service standards by overseeing customer support processes and issue resolution
- Lead onsite registration operations, including staffing, training, and logistical coordination for successful attendee experiences
- Serve as the primary contact for registration vendors, managing procurement, staffing, and materials needs
Qualifications
- 3 years of relevant registration experience
- Experience with Cvent, CDS, Maritz, or similar registration platforms
- Ability to manage multiple priorities independently and efficiently
- Strong customer service and issue resolution skills
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and spreadsheet reporting
- Excellent organizational, time-management, and communication skills
- Ability to lift 25 lbs or more and move about to accomplish tasks
- Proven ability to interpret procedures, guidelines, and system requirements
