Our client is a major transportation agency responsible for connecting communities and supporting mobility across the DC region. The Training Specialist will provide comprehensive Procure-to-Pay (P2P) and Inventory Management functional training and support for end users. This role is responsible for assessing training needs, designing, and developing training materials, and delivering high-quality instruction across multiple formats. The trainer will participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) to ensure training solutions are aligned with system functionality and business processes. This is a full-time contract position based in Hyattsville, MD, paying $41.85 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Conduct training needs analysis and propose effective training strategies
- Design, develop, and implement training courses, manuals, simulations, user guides, test scripts, job aids, FAQs, quick guides, webcasts, webinars, and other web-based learning tools
- Support all SDLC phases to define, design, develop, test, implement, maintain, and sustain training solutions
- Provide functional expertise in Learning Management Systems, with emphasis on PeopleSoft Enterprise Learning Management (ELM) or equivalent learning tools
- Deliver Procure-to-Pay functional training to diverse user groups
- Design and configure scenario-based business examples that reflect production processes
- Collaborate with developers to build or refine training environments
- Troubleshoot functional issues within P2P and Inventory Management modules
- Train multiple end-user roles with varying levels of system proficiency
- Create clear, user-friendly training materials translating complex processes
Qualifications
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in procure-to-pay, database administration, or operations analysis
- Knowledge of PeopleSoft or related ERP systems preferred
- Strong presentation, communication, and instructional design skills
- Ability to design and deliver both in-person and virtual training sessions
- Experience with Learning Management Systems, especially PeopleSoft ELM
- Technical troubleshooting skills related to P2P and Inventory Management modules
