Our client is a major financial enterprise dedicated to supporting housing markets and promoting sustainable homeownership nationwide. The Business Analyst will support product delivery and business transformation for the Multifamily Technology team, focusing on understanding customer needs, translating requirements, and ensuring alignment across various stakeholders.

This is a full-time, contract-to-hire position based in McLean, VA, paying $60-$65 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with business stakeholders and Product Owner to document product goals, customer needs, and desired outcomes
  • Support day-to-day execution by clarifying scope, documenting decisions, and helping teams stay aligned on requirements
  • Understand current and future-state processes to support process reengineering and requirements definition
  • Draft and refine features and user stories, including acceptance criteria, in collaboration with product and delivery teams
  • Support backlog refinement by ensuring items are clearly defined, ready for estimation, and aligned with outcomes
  • Incorporate user pain points, usability findings, and industry insights to support customer-driven design
  • Collaborate across UX, Change Management, Development, Data, and other teams to aid delivery and deployment
  • Communicate status, risks, and insights, escalating issues with recommended options as needed
  • Participate in supporting development activities, including process redesign, testing, and UAT support

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2-4 years of experience in product or business analysis supporting technology delivery
  • Proficient with Atlassian software suite (Jira, Confluence) or similar agile tools
  • Experience with agile delivery teams (Scrum, Kanban) and backlog refinement
  • Strong analytical, strategic, and problem-solving skills using data and stakeholder input
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to operate in ambiguous environments with multiple priorities
  • Experience in mortgage, real estate, or financial services industry
