Our client is a trusted utility and energy provider delivering safe, reliable, and sustainable solutions to homes and businesses. The Administrative Assistant will provide administrative and operational support to Field Operations and System O&M field crews, assisting with tracking work, maintaining records, and supporting daily field activities to ensure work is properly documented and completed.

This is a full-time hybrid position based in Springfield, VA, paying $24.00 per hour. The training period will be held in Springfield and in Chillum, MD, requiring candidates to commute for some days.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and assemble job packages for field work, including printing service records, maps, and related documents
  • Enter, update, and track maintenance and work requests in company systems
  • Assist with permit requests and Miss Utility locate ticket documentation
  • Track field work and orders to ensure accurate documentation and completion
  • Maintain and update logs, rosters, spreadsheets, and other tracking tools related to field operations
  • Scan, copy, file, and organize documents
  • Communicate with internal teams and external customers as needed
  • Perform general clerical and administrative duties to support field operations

Qualifications

  • At least 2+ years of proven administrative experience
  • Experience with data entry and maintaining spreadsheets in Excel
  • Utility or relevant industry experience is a plus
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to commute to Springfield, VA and Chillum, MD as required
