Our client is a major transportation agency responsible for connecting communities and supporting mobility across the DC region. The ADA Specialist will oversee labor relations strategies, support negotiations, and ensure compliance with employment laws affecting the workforce.

This is a full-time, contract position based in Hyattsville, MD, paying $45.16 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Manage labor relations activities, including negotiations, contract administration, and employee relations.
  • Collaborate with management and union representatives to address employee concerns and resolve disputes.
  • Ensure compliance with collective bargaining agreements and employment law regulations.
  • Provide guidance on labor policies and procedures.
  • Support employee engagement initiatives and communication strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of labor activities and correspondence.
  • Facilitate training sessions on labor relations policies and compliance.
  • Stay current on federal and state labor laws and industry best practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Proven experience in labor relations, Negotiation skills, and conflict resolution.
  • Knowledge of federal and state labor laws and regulations.
  • Certification in labor relations or Human Resources is preferred.
