Our client is a construction firm with over 25 years of experience, specializing in projects across Washington, DC. The company is seeking a Project Manager to oversee construction projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring effective project delivery and client satisfaction. This is a Full-time, Direct Hire opportunity based in Washington, DC, with a salary range of $110,000 to $130,000.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate with the project Superintendent and team to oversee all construction activities from start to finish
- Facilitate project startup activities and preconstruction meetings
- Ensure work is conducted safely and in accordance with standards
- Manage change orders, budget forecasting, payment applications, and invoice approvals
- Maintain and update project schedules, develop fragnets and 'what-if' scenarios
- Manage RFIs, submittals, material tracking, and meeting documentation
- Prepare deliverables and facilitate progress meetings with stakeholders
- Oversee document control and coordinate with clients, design teams, and consultants
- Manage QA/QC procedures, punch lists, and subcontractor progress/compliance
- Oversee project closeout including final documentation and owner turnover
Qualifications:
- 7+ years of experience in the construction industry
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field (equivalent experience considered)
- Proven ability to manage cost, schedule, and client relationships on complex projects
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Proficient with construction management software and standard office tools
- Ability to build positive relationships with subcontractors, clients, and design consultants
