Fairfax Virginia Contract To Hire May 26, 2026

Our client is a leader in managing commercial and residential properties throughout the Northern Virginia region. They have over 28 properties with a mission to provide exceptional service to their residents, commercial tenants, and support the local communities.

This is an onsite, full-time, contract-to-hire position based in Fairfax, VA, paying $60–$65 per hour.

Responsibilities

  • Provide leadership in the evaluation, development, and implementation of long-range strategic plans for network and software applications.
  • Manage staff and develop resources in relevant technologies using the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC) methodology.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with all residential subsystems, including Yardi, ADP, RentCafe, and provide web portal support to properties and residents.
  • Be thoroughly familiar with Microsoft 365 cloud environment, including Office 365, SharePoint, and Azure.
  • Contribute to projects and become the system's administrator and troubleshooter for software utilized by accounting and operations teams.
  • Train staff in software related to technology and essential job functions.
  • Assist with configuration and adjustments to improve efficiency and performance across departments.
  • Communicate expectations effectively to team members and executives.
  • Coordinate and communicate budgets, future planning initiatives, results, and issues to the leadership team.
  • Manage relationships with vendors to enhance technology and ensure performance.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of all software applications in accordance with company policies and security standards.
  • Identify and communicate issues within the team.
  • Develop and deliver reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
  • Coach, mentor, and supervise team members and contractors.
  • Develop and enforce IT best practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Facilitate security audits and investigations, and deploy security awareness training.
  • Manage physical security and access control measures.
  • Analyze IT infrastructure performance to assess operational costs and upgrade needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or college diploma.
  • 3-5 years of progressive experience in IT management.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to lead and motivate teams.
  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong technical communication skills.
  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record, and current auto insurance.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential matters.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds and perform general office movements.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and tolerate stressful situations.
