Our client is a major transportation agency responsible for connecting communities and supporting mobility across the DC region. The Bilingual Community Engagement Specialist will be responsible for heavily engaging with customers to register them for reduced fare programs and providing excellent customer service to ensure a positive experience.

This is a part-time position based in Alexandria, Virginia, paying $18.70 per hour. It is a contract position requiring variable hours each week, with responsibilities involving direct engagement at various community events and locations throughout the DC, MD, and Northern VA regions. The role involves working at different sites, which could be indoors or outdoors depending on the event's nature, and requires the ability to work at various locations.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers to facilitate registration for reduced fare programs
• Accurately input and maintain customer data in company systems
• Respond to customer inquiries professionally and promptly
• Provide exceptional customer service while safeguarding data confidentiality and integrity
• Proof work for accuracy and completeness
• Work at multiple locations across the region, including outdoor and indoor settings as needed

Qualifications

• Required: Bilingual proficiency (English and Spanish preferred)
• Preferred: Experience in customer service or outreach roles
• Technical skills or certifications: Data entry proficiency, familiarity with customer data management systems
