Our client is one of the largest nonprofit organizations in the scientific community, recognized globally for advancing the hard sciences and publishing leading scientific journals. The Marketing Automation Specialist will support email marketing and automation efforts by deploying and managing campaigns, building email assets, and delivering actionable insights to stakeholders.

This is a Full-time, Contract position based in Washington, DC, paying $41–$45 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Deploy ad-hoc and recurring email campaigns for multiple stakeholders using Oracle Eloqua Marketing Automation.
• Create and execute automated campaigns based on gathered business requirements.
• Build and maintain emails, landing pages, and forms in Eloqua using both WYSIWYG and HTML editors.
• Run the email review and approval process, including testing, proofreading, collecting feedback, and securing approvals.
• Manage and coordinate the marketing email calendar to ensure timely and accurate campaign delivery.
• Monitor campaign performance metrics and provide clear, actionable recommendations to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with internal partners and stakeholders to support marketing technology and operations needs.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in digital marketing or IT with a focus on marketing automation.
• Proficiency with marketing automation platforms (Eloqua, Marketo, or Pardot) is required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, IT, or a related field.
• Oracle Eloqua proficiency is a major plus.
• Basic coding experience (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) is a plus.
• Working knowledge of major LLMs, including Copilot and Claude, is a plus.
• Strong process orientation and the ability to analyze requests, scope work, recommend solutions, and measure success.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
