Our client is a leader in property management, focused on delivering exceptional service to residents and tenants while supporting the communities they serve. The Facilities and Procurement Manager will strengthen maintenance operations across a multi-site residential portfolio by standardizing procurement and inventory practices, coordinating vendors, and improving cost control and operational consistency. This is a Full-time, Direct Hire opportunity based in Fairfax, VA, with a salary of $105,000.
Responsibilities
Partner with maintenance supervisors and leadership to support day-to-day operational needs across communities
Standardize purchasing processes to improve consistency, efficiency, and cost control
Track orders, inventory usage, invoices, and related activity within property management and internal systems (e.g., Yardi)
Solicit, compare, and coordinate vendor bids for maintenance-related work and services
Build and maintain vendor relationships to secure competitive pricing and reliable service
Support compliance and safety-related operational processes and documentation
Assist with contract preparation and supporting documentation in partnership with leadership
Serve as a corporate support resource to site teams by reinforcing best practices, supporting training alignment, and improving workflows (without direct line management)
Qualifications
5–10+ years of experience in property operations, facilities management, procurement, and/or maintenance leadership (multi-site/residential strongly preferred)
Working knowledge of residential building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, etc.) and maintenance workflows
Demonstrated experience with procurement, vendor management, bid collection/comparison, and cost control
Experience implementing or maintaining inventory control and standardization practices across multiple sites
Strong computer proficiency and comfort working in systems such as Yardi (or similar property management/procurement platforms), plus spreadsheets and reporting
Ability to organize competing priorities, operate independently, and drive process improvement in a changing environment
Strong communication skills and ability to influence and mentor site teams without direct reporting authority
