Our client is a major transportation agency responsible for connecting communities and supporting mobility across the DC region. The Treasury Support Technician will assist with treasury, accounting, and commuter program operations through technical execution, data handling, process documentation, and system support.

This is a full-time, contract position based in Alexandria, VA, paying $55.00 per hour.

Responsibilities:

• Review and document business and technical processes, including report creation, data manipulation, and accounting entries.
• Trace and validate report outputs and their impact on general ledger postings.
• Support treasury-adjacent programs, such as U Pass and Lyft, by managing data collection, validation, and upload.
• Configure and maintain cloud-based applications and support reporting automation.
• Troubleshoot store and POS devices, coordinating replacements as needed.
• Manage documentation repositories, track task progress, and support team coordination.
• Conduct quarterly audits, validate data, and support stakeholder initiatives.

Qualifications:

• Basic accounting knowledge, including debits/credits and GL workflows.
• Strong proficiency with spreadsheets and data processing (Excel, validation, uploads).
• Technical aptitude for troubleshooting systems/devices and working independently.
• Excellent documentation and communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with treasury, accounting operations, or revenue reporting.
• Support for cloud/SaaS applications and light scripting (Excel macros, VBA, Power Automate).
• POS/store device support experience.
• Familiarity with documentation best practices.
