Our client is a trusted utility and energy provider delivering safe, reliable, and sustainable solutions to homes and businesses. The Security Consultant will support the Chief Security Officer and security staff in enhancing the company's security posture through policy development, training, and capability enhancement.

This is a hybrid position based in Springfield, VA, paying $65.00 per hour. This is a full-time, contract position.

Responsibilities

• Review, develop, and revise corporate security policies and procedures in alignment with industry standards and regulatory requirements
• Design and deliver security training programs for employees, including virtual and in-person sessions
• Support the development of enterprise-wide security capabilities such as threat response, insider risk mitigation, and counterintelligence
• Collaborate with legal, HR, and operational teams to ensure cross-functional alignment
• Develop communication strategies for security awareness and advisories
• Engage with stakeholders to gather requirements, provide progress reports, and present recommendations to leadership

Qualifications

• Proven experience in corporate security policy and procedure development and training
• Strong project management and communication skills
• Technical skills or certifications relevant to security or risk management preferred
