Our client is a globally certified transportation and logistics leader with more than 80 years of experience. The Human Resources Coordinator will support the day-to-day operations of the Human Resources Department, providing administrative and recruiting support, assisting with onboarding and personnel file management, and ensuring data accuracy within HR systems.

This is a full-time contract position based in Springfield, VA, paying $25–$30 per hour. The role requires strong communication skills, experience with ADP, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Human Resources department
  • Support recruiting efforts including processing of pre-hire documentation and assisting with hiring events
  • Prepare onboarding materials, welcome emails, and offer letters
  • Coordinate orientation sessions, including logistics and documentation
  • Manage new hire paperwork, verify completion, and process through e-verify
  • Create and maintain personnel files ensuring compliance and accuracy
  • Enter and update employee data in HR systems including ADP and IMIS
  • Assist with payroll changes and audits
  • Generate periodic reports as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in HR or related field
  • 1-3 years of HR experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint (intermediate to advanced)
  • Previous ADP payroll experience strongly preferred
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and maintain accuracy
  • Professional HR certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP preferred
  • Bilingual skills a plus
