Our client is a trusted utility and energy provider delivering safe, reliable, and sustainable solutions to homes and businesses. The Security and Emergency Management Analyst will support the planning, coordination, and implementation of security and emergency management programs to enhance enterprise resilience and safeguard operations.
This is a full-time position based in Springfield, VA, paying $25–$30 per hour. It is a contract role with an initial duration of one year.
Responsibilities
- Emergency Management:
- Support the development, maintenance, and implementation of emergency management plans, procedures, and response documentation.
- Assist with emergency preparedness activities, drills, tabletop exercises, functional exercises, and after-action reviews.
- Participate in Emergency Operations Center (EOC) activations and incident management activities.
- Support Incident Command System (ICS) implementation and emergency response coordination efforts.
- Track corrective actions and improvement plans resulting from exercises, incidents, and audits.
- Assist with emergency notifications, situational awareness reporting, and incident documentation.
- Support coordination with local, state, federal, and industry emergency management partners.
- Maintain emergency response resources, contact lists, and readiness documentation.
- Physical Security
- Support security programs designed to safeguard personnel, facilities, critical infrastructure, vehicles, and company assets.
- Assist with administration and oversight of access control, video surveillance, intrusion detection, visitor management, and other security technologies.
- Conduct facility security assessments and security surveys.
- Support security incident response activities and security investigations.
- Monitor and analyze security threats, vulnerabilities, and emerging risk trends.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of security procedures, standards, and operational guidelines.
- Support coordination with contract security personnel and security service providers.
- Participate in security planning for high-profile events, executive protection support activities, and special operations as required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with a preference for those in communications, public relations, security management, emergency management, risk management or related field.
- Experience in security, crisis management, or emergency management preferred.
