Our client is a major financial enterprise dedicated to supporting housing markets and promoting sustainable homeownership nationwide. The Business Operations Analyst Senior will play a key role in supporting critical application and process resilience, troubleshooting production issues, and developing automation tools for the product management team.

This is a full-time, contract position based in McLean, VA, paying $54.00-$73.00 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Address production issues during assigned shifts, including non-business hours.
• Respond to user inquiries in a timely manner.
• Support the development of Mercury Plus's forecasting engines (ICM and FAS).
• Assist with impact analysis for future model deployments.
• Conduct end-to-end testing of application components.
• Troubleshoot application-related issues in production and lower environments.
• Communicate performance trends and insights to stakeholders.
• Support environment maintenance and management.
• Develop automated tools to streamline core responsibilities.
• Assist with project management tasks related to forecasting engines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of work experience.
• Proven proficiency with SQL, Python, Excel, and related analytical tools.
• Solid knowledge of Fixed Income and/or Finance Analytics.
• Ability to analyze large datasets effectively.
• Flexible to work on weekends and evenings one week per month.
• Experience supporting mission-critical applications.
• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, mathematics, statistics, economics, or other quantitative fields.
• Familiarity with JIRA, particularly creating dashboards and managing tickets.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong analytical mindset and attention to detail.
• Desire to learn financial and quantitative models.
• Dependability in addressing production issues outside regular hours.
