Our client is a leader in managing commercial and residential properties throughout the Northern Virginia region. The HR Consultant will provide strategic guidance and operational support to improve human resources functions and enhance organizational effectiveness.
This is a hybrid position based in Fairfax, Virginia, paying $50–$65 per hour. This is a full-time, contract position.
Responsibilities
- Create and deliver briefings to executives
- Oversee recruitment, interview, selection, and hiring processes
- Plan employee benefit, payroll, health, and safety programs
- Act as the 401K fiduciary
- Partner with insurance brokers to negotiate renewals and insurance options
- Initiate and supervise the implementation and advancement of human resource processes
- Follow and ensure adherence to internal and legal procedures
- Oversee employee records updates
- Provide consultation on employee relations matters
- Respond to inquiries professionally and timely
- Structure benefits programs to attract and retain top talent
- Coordinate updates to HR software systems
- Conduct exit interviews and suggest measures for improving performance evaluations and engagement
Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years' experience as an HR Director or similar role
- In-depth knowledge of HR operations and legal regulations
- Hands-on experience in all aspects of HR management
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills
- Strong analytical and project management skills
- Supervisory experience
- Senior Professional in Human Resources Certification (SPHR) is advantageous
