Our client is a commercial, mixed-use real estate development firm that identifies underutilized properties and transforms them into high-value destinations for people to live, work, and gather. The Office Administrator will support daily administrative operations, manage front desk responsibilities, coordinate meetings and office supplies, and serve as a welcoming point of contact for visitors, tenants, vendors, and employees.
Our client is seeking to fill a full-time Office Administrator position in Fairfax, Virginia. This is a direct hire opportunity with an annual salary range of $60,000 to $85,000. Compensation dependent on background alignment and experience.
Responsibilities:
- Manage the front desk and serve as the primary point of contact for visitors, tenants, vendors, and employees
- Maintain a professional and welcoming reception area and office environment
- Assist with setting up conference rooms, meetings, presentations, and office events
- Stock and maintain office kitchens, breakrooms, and common areas
- Monitor office and kitchen inventory and track reorders
- Coordinate office supply orders and organize inventory storage
- Assist with filing, scanning, printing, copying, and other administrative tasks
- Answer phones, route calls, and respond to inquiries professionally
- Support mail distribution, package handling, and outgoing shipments
- Help maintain organized records and office documentation
- Assist with special projects and additional office support as needed
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 5+ years of administrative, office coordination, or office management experience preferred
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel) and office software systems
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
- Professional demeanor and customer service attitude
- Must pass a background check and be eligible to work in the United States
