Our client is a local government entity committed to delivering essential public services and fostering community development. The Lead Bilingual Administrative Technician will provide front-line administrative and customer support across multiple human services programs, helping ensure community members receive timely information, applications, and referrals. This is a full-time, contract position based in Arlington, VA, paying $22.00 per hour.
 

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a customer service point of contact for a culturally diverse population, providing information, applications, and referrals to human services and community programs.

  • Assist clients in an in-person resource center setting, including job searches, job application completion, and basic technical support for individuals with limited computer proficiency.

  • Monitor and support call center communications (including chat), responding to requests and coordinating the mailing or distribution of requested applications.

  • Provide administrative support to program teams, including creating and assembling case folders/binders and preparing application packets for distribution.

  • Scan and index intake documents; support accurate document organization and routing.

  • Process incoming and outgoing mail.

  • Act as a lead point of contact for providing information related to vaccines and coordinating appointment scheduling.

  • Prepare materials and coordinate processing for files being sent to off-site storage.
     

Required Qualifications

  • Bilingual communication skills (spoken and written) with strong customer service capabilities.

  • Experience performing administrative support duties such as document preparation, scanning, indexing, and mail processing.

  • Proficiency using multiple computer applications and the ability to learn new systems quickly.

  • Ability to remain calm, professional, and accurate in a high-volume, fast-paced environment.

  • Strong communication skills and demonstrated flexibility in a customer-facing role.
    Proficiency with standard office technology and computer applications (e.g., email, document management, and chat-based communication tools).

     

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting human services, public sector programs, or community-based services.

  • Experience providing technical assistance to clients with varying levels of computer proficiency.

  • Experience working in a call center or customer service center environment.
