Our client is a public, non-profit utility that delivers drinking water to over 2 million Northern Virginia residents through treatment plants and extensive infrastructure. The Contract Recruiter will be responsible for leading the full recruitment lifecycle, including sourcing, interviewing, and coordinating with hiring managers to attract top talent. This is a onsite contract position based in Fairfax, VA, paying $35 per hour.

Responsibilities

• Coordinates the full recruitment, selection, and assessment process, including sourcing, interviewing, and reporting.
• Implements strategies to optimize talent acquisition activities and develop relationships with key organizations.
• Prepares and maintains job postings, manages candidate pipelines, and collaborates with hiring managers throughout the hiring process.
• Conducts reference checks, prepares offers, and ensures compliance with employment laws.
• Produces recruitment reports and performs data analysis to improve hiring strategies.
• Performs other duties and special projects as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field.
• Minimum of seven years of professional experience in Human Resources or related fields, with recruiting experience at all levels.
• Proficiency with ATS systems, especially NEOGOV, and intermediate Excel, Word, and SharePoint skills.
• Knowledge of employment laws, regulations, and best practices.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to independently prioritize and manage multiple assignments.
• PHR or SHRM-CP certification preferred.
• Ability to travel to company facilities.
