Our client is a major transportation agency responsible for connecting communities and supporting mobility across the DC region. The Senior Operations Support Technician will provide technical and operational support for treasury-related systems, hardware, and business processes, ensuring efficient field operations and system functionality.

This is a contract position based in Alexandria, VA, paying $45.00-$50.00 per hour, and it is a full-time, contract role that is fully onsite.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and support treasury-related hardware and software, including POS devices and smart card readers.
• Travel to field locations to deploy, troubleshoot, and support deployed equipment and end users.
• Diagnose, resolve, and escalate hardware, connectivity, and transaction issues impacting field users.
• Maintain inventory and perform basic hardware maintenance or repairs as needed.
• Support treasury operations by collecting, validating, and processing operational data and transaction files.
• Assist in creating reports, invoicing, and reconciliation tools using Excel and other tools.
• Support system configuration, automation, and process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
• Document workflows, procedures, and system configurations; support audit activities.

Qualifications

• Required qualification: Experience supporting operational technology, POS systems, or retail technology environments.
• Preferred qualification: Support experience in treasury operations, fare collection, or revenue systems.
• Technical skills or certifications: Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with automation tools like Power Automate, SQL, or scripting is a plus.
