Our client is a nonprofit organization in the scientific community, known globally for advancing the hard sciences and publishing leading scientific journals. The Marketing Contractor will support the marketing, logistics, and production of webinars, expo partnerships, and other virtual events and lead generation products to drive engagement and revenue. This is a full time contract position, based in Washington, DC, with a pay range of $28–$34 per hour. Hybrid work schedule is preferred but open to candidates requiring remote.
Responsibilities
- Support the marketing, logistics, and production of webinars, expo partnerships, and virtual or in-person events, including lead generation products such as white papers, e-books, quizzes, and surveys.
- Serve as a primary contact to coordinate with webinar technology vendors, sponsors, and internal teams from kickoff through post-campaign wrap-up for over 50 events.
- Monitor campaign performance, prepare performance reports, and ensure timely delivery of campaign updates and KPIs in project management tools.
- Collaborate with internal and external designers to produce marketing assets like emails, ads, and online banners.
- Prepare marketing collateral including emails and landing pages using HTML and marketing automation tools, emphasizing Eloqua proficiency.
- Work with external agencies on social campaigns aiming to increase site traffic and conversions.
- Assist with content marketing efforts, including maintaining online media kits, uploading content, and managing newsletter campaigns.
- Coordinate logistics and timelines to support expo campaigns, sponsor onboarding, pre-event promotion, onsite branding, lead capture, and post-event reporting.
- Collaborate with sales, marketing, and events teams to align efforts, meet campaign goals, and support client requests.
Required qualifications
- 2-5 years of relevant experience with demonstrated organizational and client-facing skills.
- Proficiency in HTML, WordPress, marketing automation platforms (Eloqua preferred), and Adobe Creative Suite.
- Experience hosting or supporting webinars, especially using On24, is strongly preferred.
- Basic HTML & CSS skills, strong project management skills, and ability to manage multiple projects under tight deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel to shows may be required.
Preferred qualifications:
- Previous experience in supporting or hosting webinars using On24.
- Experience working with scientific or nonprofit organizations.
- Familiarity with social media campaigns, online media kits, and content marketing.
- Ability to travel to events as needed.
