Our client is a major transportation agency responsible for connecting communities and supporting mobility across the DC region. The Project Coordinator will support labor and employee relations projects through administrative and project management activities, ensuring timely completion and accuracy. This is a full time contract position, onsite, based in Washington, DC, paying $34.61 per hour.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for planning, implementing, and completing multi-discipline project management and administrative activities related to managing Labor and Employee Relations projects, including data analysis, report preparation, and records management.
- Assist with various project tasks, design spreadsheets, maintain grievance and arbitration databases, and liaise with departmental administration on Labor and Employee Relations activities.
- Generate regular status reports, assist with project planning and execution, and ensure deadlines are met.
- Analyze reports for accuracy, assist with Labor and Employee Relations dashboards, create action items, and ensure adherence to procedures.
- Establish and maintain relationships with internal and external clients through timely communication.
- Maintain confidentiality of all Labor and Employee Relations matters.
- Provide administrative support to senior management, draft correspondence, and support department policies and procedures implementation.
- Assist with generating policies, SOP manuals, and other related documents.
- Support other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Business Management, or a related field, OR a high school diploma/GED with at least five (5) years of experience as an associate project coordinator supporting executive management in a fast-paced environment.
- Minimum of five (5) years of project coordination and administrative support experience, focusing on data analysis and database management.
- Strong skills in MS Office Suite, SharePoint, and experience with data reporting tools like Tableau, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Knowledge of union contract language, grievance and arbitration processes, and Labor and Employee Relations rules.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field with seven (7) or more years of relevant experience.
- Proficiency in Visio, Project, Access, and technical programs in PeopleSoft and Documentum GMS.
