Our client is a major transportation agency responsible for connecting communities and supporting mobility across the DC region. The Project Manager will oversee research, data gathering, and project coordination to support organizational initiatives and strategic development. This is a full time contract position, onsite, based in Washington, DC, paying $46.77 per hour.
Responsibilities
Conduct research and gather data from various sources to respond to internal and external inquiries.
Keep department leadership informed on matters that may impact the department’s mission.
Provide strategic support, guidance, and management for a broad range of projects related to program and policy assignments.
Develop, monitor, and coordinate strategic activities and programs to enhance organizational management and development opportunities.
Coordinate with multiple stakeholders, including internal teams and external agencies, to ensure project deliverables are met on time and within scope.
Prepare and present detailed reports and updates to senior management, highlighting project progress, challenges, and recommendations.
Required qualification
Minimum of six years of progressively responsible experience in marketing and communications project management, preferably in a large service organization setting.
Strong leadership and organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects and coordinate cross-functional teams.
Proven experience in project management within a complex organizational setting.
Preferred qualification
Experience in transportation or public agency environments.
Certification in project management methodologies (e.g., PMP).
Proficiency in project management software and data analysis tools.
