Our client is a professional organization seeking dependable support to help maintain efficient day-to-day operations. The Senior Program Manager will provide program leadership and oversight for enterprise Human Capital Management (HCM) platform initiatives, with a primary focus on Workday and UKG, ensuring successful implementation, enhancements, and operational transition activities. This is a full time contract position, onsite, based in Washington, DC, with a pay range of $67.00-$79.00 per hour.
Responsibilities
Lead complex, cross-functional HCM programs and projects focused on Workday, UKG, and related enterprise workforce management capabilities.
Develop and manage integrated HCM program plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, risks, issues, budgets, and implementation roadmaps.
Facilitate HCM governance and decision forums by preparing materials, documenting decisions, tracking actions, and communicating status to senior leaders and program stakeholders.
Partner with HR, payroll, finance, operations, IT, vendors, and implementation partners to clarify scope, align priorities, identify and resolve issues and risks, and maintain delivery momentum for Workday and UKG initiatives.
Coordinate HCM requirements, configuration decisions, workflow alignment, data validation, testing, readiness, cutover, implementation, transition planning, and post-implementation stabilization.
Gather critical information from stakeholder meetings and produce reports, dashboards, executive updates, decision logs, RAID logs, and HCM program documentation.
Support HCM process improvement, change management, stakeholder readiness, training, adoption planning, and operational transition activities.
Assist in developing standards, templates, tools, and methodologies to improve HCM delivery, governance, and operational effectiveness.
Maintain awareness of workforce processes, HCM technologies, platform roadmaps, and vendor capabilities to support modernization and continuous improvement.
Balance and prioritize multiple HCM programs, platform enhancements, and stakeholder needs.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of experience in program management, project management, or related fields supporting enterprise HCM platforms.
Strong planning, organizational, facilitation, analytical, and stakeholder influence skills.
Proficiency in developing and presenting reports, dashboards, and risk summaries for executive audiences.
Deep understanding of program and project management disciplines, including scope, schedule, budget, risk, and stakeholder management.
Experience with Agile or other delivery methodologies in enterprise platform environments.
Hands-on experience supporting Workday and UKG implementations, enhancements, configurations, testing, and stabilization.
Working knowledge of core HCM business processes such as core HR, payroll, time and attendance, and employee self-service.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, particularly in explaining complex platform concepts to non-technical audiences.
Competency in Microsoft Office Suite and collaboration tools.
Preferred Qualifications
Certifications such as PMP, PgMP, SAFe, Agile, Scrum, Prosci, ITIL.
Prior experience with Workday, UKG, HRIS, or related systems.
Experience with HCM modernization efforts and continuous improvement initiatives.
Understanding of data security, compliance, and audit processes related to HR systems.
