Our client is a local government organization providing public services and community programs that support resident well-being. The Sports Facility Monitor (Weekends) supports recreation programs and facility operations by ensuring safe, organized spaces and positive customer experiences. This is an part time contract position, onsite, based in Arlington, Virginia, paying $18 per hour.
Responsibilities
• Provide customer service and information to patrons in person, by phone, and by email
• Set up and break down rooms and gym areas for programs and events
• Monitor facilities during activities to support smooth program operations
• Respond to emergency situations and support evacuations as needed
• Complete incident reports and other required documentation
• Report game scores accurately when assigned
• Accept payments, process reservations, and assist with registrations using a scheduling and payment system
• Follow cash-handling procedures and participate in meetings and trainings as required
Qualifications
• High school diploma, GED, vocational school, or equivalent
• Experience providing effective customer service
• Experience handling payments and processing funds in accordance with procedures
• Ability to remain calm, take initiative, and solve problems under pressure
• Ability to work independently and remain accountable for assigned tasks
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for prolonged periods
• Adult CPR, Child CPR, First Aid, and AED certification (preferred)
• Knowledge of sports rules (for example, basketball) (preferred)
